Dr. Ahmed Ali Sawad appointed as the Minister of Tourism, Arts and Culture

Dr. Ahmed Ali Sawad has been appointed as the Minister of Tourism, Arts and Culture on 12th November 2008.

Dr. Sawad was sworn in following the re-alignment of ministries after His Excellency Mohamed Nasheed was elected as the 4th president of the Maldives. Former Ministry of Tourism and Civil Aviation was renamed as the Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture. The newly elected government has 13 ministries.
